Work with India

If a part of you is feeling intimidated by therapy and another part is trying to talk yourself out of needing it, you’re in good company. Before becoming a therapist myself, I sat in the client’s chair—both in individual and couples therapy. I’ve experienced firsthand the courage it takes to find the right therapist, risk vulnerability with a stranger, and step into the unknown. We find a way to navigate life with the best tools available to us. At times, the strategies we develop are all that hold us together; at other times, they feel responsible for everything falling apart.

This is where my love for this job comes in. My passion is to help individuals and couples break free from these stuck places. Whether you’re lost in grief, caught up in an unproductive cycle within your relationships, or struggling to bridge the gap between you and your partner, you don’t need to figure this out all on your own.

I am a co-founder of Unstuck Therapy, am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of TN, and am a clinical fellow of the AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy). I have advanced level training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is considered the gold standard of therapy for couples. I adopt an attachment-centered, evidence-based lens rooted in the neuroscience of relationships. I am also a certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator for premarital counseling. That being said, I integrate various therapy models and tailor my methods to every individual and relationship.

My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative. I don’t pretend to know you better than you know yourself. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s keeping you stuck, begin to change the way you see yourself (and/or your partner), and help you find your way to a more fulfilling relationship with yourself and others. You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out—that’s what we’ll work on together. If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m here to help.
