About Matt


When not working, Matt loves spending time with his two children and wife, Amber. They enjoy streaming the latest shows and love to travel. Matt is also a vocalist and pianist.

Matt Wade, MMFT is the co-founder of Unstuck Therapy and is Guide Lecturer and Intensive Specialist for Onsite Workshops.

Matt Wade has 20+ years of experience with leading people and shaping organizational culture. His leadership has been most effective through three domains: Clear communication, a warm and inviting presence, and his ability to network and grow teams.

As a clinician, Matt’s passion is to help foster an environment for people to experience emotional wellness through next level care. He helps clients recover and thrive in distressed or in-crisis relationships, wounded attachment, & religious trauma through 3-Day Intensives by utilizing several evidence-based treatments.

Matt is trained in the gold standard  for couples therapy – Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). In addition, he is also trained in Experiential Therapy Models such as: Psychodrama & Gestalt Therapy. Matt is also trained in Brainspotting.

As a Certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitator for Premarital Counseling, Matt also helps engaged couples create a solid foundation for a life-long relationship.

Matt holds an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy  from Trevecca Nazarene University. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy & Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society & International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).

In 2025, Matt and his wife Amber are launching a Couples Coaching Practice called RePair where they help couples find their way back to one another through luxury weekend getaways, conferences, small groups, the upcoming RePair Podcast, and more. To learn more about RePair, click HERE.

Matt is pursuing licensure in the state of TN for Marriage & Family Therapy, under the supervision of Dr. Sara Hopkins, LMFT, license 928.
