India Lacerda, MMFT is a co-founder of Unstuck Therapy. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Brainspotting, and is a certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator.
India has a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate the full spectrum of hello to goodbye, whether that is establishing a healthy foundation (premarital), strengthening an attachment bond (couples) or moving through healthy detachment (grief/loss). India adopts an attachment-centered, evidence-based lens rooted in the neuroscience of relationships.
Some common themes in her work with individual clients include exploring values, disengaging from inauthentic roles, cultivating self-compassion, reparenting, and bringing awareness to relational dynamics. She has a desire to help her clients walk in courage towards new encounters with the wounded parts of their stories and relationships.
Recently, India and her colleague, Matt Wade have created a 2-Day couples conference called CLOSER. To learn more about CLOSER, click HERE or to inquire about hosting a CLOSER Couples Conference for your organization.
India holds a M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society, and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
India is pursuing licensure in the state of TN for Marriage & Family Therapy, under the supervision of Dr. Sara Hopkins, LMFT, license 928.
When India is not working, she is often reading, trying new restaurants, hiking with her 2 dogs, or traveling with her husband, Andre.
